VERY IMPORTANT: How to schedule the right type of class and change a group class to a private class
This the most important video to watch and learn. It is very important that classes a schedule accurately in order to avoid inaccuracies in record keeping and payments. It also affects what potential clients see and book online. Please take the time to master this.
DO NOT CHANGE THE NAMES OF CLASSES
If you change the name of your class, it changes the name for all classes that use that class name. It is very important that you follow the instructions above.
How to book clients in classes and check them in or cancel them
Keep in mind, as you book clients in Mindbody, they will receive automatic email notifications about:
- Classes they have been scheduled for
- Classes that they scheduled and missed
- Classes they cancel
It is important to check everyone in at the beginning of class or at the end by simply tapping that orange circle. This is how we know who attended and who owes money. Also, if you do not check them in, they will receive an automated email after the class saying they were not present for the class (this is delayed, so you will have some time at the end of class to check people in as well).
UPDATED: How to take payment for a class
It is very important that you take a payment for each class by following the instructions in this video. If you take a payment without doing it this way, it will not get applied to a class and any unpaid classes will remain unpaid.

How to accept a large account payment and use the account balance to pay for both group classes and private sessions
Some clients like to pay upfront for a lot of classes and they will make a large account payment. They may also want to mix and match both group classes and private sessions from that account balance. This video will show you how to accept a large payment and apply it as an account balance, then pay for classes using the client’s balance.
How to sell a pack of class with any number of classes
Some clients like to buy different numbers of classes in bulk. Sometimes they by 10, sometimes they buy 8, sometimes they buy 30. This video shows you how to sell any number of classes in a pack so that they pay $35/class. Remember: Class packs are only to be used for group pilates, not private sessions.
How to apply a class pack to pay for a previous class that is unpaid
Depending on when the client purchases a 10-pack of classes, Mindbody will automatically apply those class credits the moment the client books a class. In order for the credits to be automatically applied, they must purchase the class pack prior to booking the class. If they owe for previously booked classes then purchase a 10-pack, you will have to manually pay for those classes by checking them out using their newly purchased 10-pack.
